Gylfinir Cymru delegation meeting with Lesley Griffiths, Assembly Minister for the Environment, Energy and Rural Affairs.
On Tuesday 22nd October Project Manager, Amanda Perkins was one of a small group from Gylfinir Cymru met with Lesley Griffiths. Gylfinir Cymru (Curlew Wales for those on the English side of the border), formed to try and halt the dire decline of curlew in Wales. It was inspired by Mary Colwell’s initial gathering in Builth Wells. We are fortunate to have in Mark Isherwood AM a great Welsh Curlew Champion, who had also been at the Curlew Summit at Downing Street. Mark has been instrumental in keeping curlew on the agenda and Lesley Griffiths AM was interested in hearing the problems for curlew and especially the solutions for curlew recovery.
