What you can do to support Curlew...

Find out more about what you can do to help the recovery of the Curlew: Get involved with Volunteer Surveys, Report Sightings, and Support our Curlew appeal! The curlew is a species that inspires all sorts of creative thinking. Our work has inspired others to get involved with saving curlew, and however big or small the initiative every bit helps to save these birds.

Please use the form below to submit your sightings. The information will be passed to our field ornithologist and one of our team may get in touch if there is anything that needs clarifying. Your personal details will only be used by us to help verify your sighting and will not shared with third parties. The exact location of bird sightings will be obscured for privacy and to minimise disturbance to the birds.

Curlew Country operates across  the Shropshire and Montgomeryshire area shown in the map below:

Make a donation to support our work

If you would prefer to make a donation by cheque or bank transfer, please contact Curlew Country via curlewcountry@gwct.org.uk or Mobile tel: 07458 147161 for further information.

Every donation, however great or small, helps us take steps to secure a future for Curlew. Your support is the reason we have been able to continue our work for the past 6 years, releasing over 140 fully fledged Curlew back into the wild and working with farmers on the ground to help protect these beautiful waders.

If you have seen a Curlew whilst out and about, you can send details to us via our online bird form, just click the button below to report your sightings.
