Huge congratulations to Curlew Country Consultant Ornithologist, Tony Cross, who has been presented with a much deserved lifetime achievement award his outstanding dedication to ornithological activities in Wales. Tony’s knowledge and understanding of birds is legendary. His passion for his work leads him on adventures and into scrapes, but if you need to know something about ornithological fieldwork he is the person. He has been a vital part of the Curlew Country project and we are so grateful to him for applying his exceptional bird species recovery skills to curlews in the Welsh and Shropshire Marches.
